How do i pick which treatment to have? When deciding on which treatment to have, be guided by your intuition. Whatever you are drawn towards is usually the best place to start. Learning to reconnect with our inner voice is an important step to self healing.
Is it safe to have a treatment if I am seeing a doctor or having medical treatment? In general yes. However the one exception is Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, if you are receiving either then it s best to wait until you have finished the course. Whilst Complementary therapies are safe to use alongside modern medicine, they are not an alternative to medical treatments and in line with best practise I ask you inform your health care provider of your intention of having a treatment. This is one reason we complete a consultation at your first session. Please note: I do not diagnose conditions as I have NO medical training, If you have new symptoms please consult your doctor or consultant. . How many sessions should i have? Great question, I am not prescriptive. I don't know how fast your body will respond to the sessions and it is really personal preference. In general I find after the forth session clients have achieved their expected out comes that we chatted about during the first consultation. Often then they like to have monthly or less frequent sessions to feel good and help prevent or minimise any re occurrence of their complaint. If the issue is chronic pain management then it would be monthly sessions to assist with this. I have a policy of never asking clients to re book at the end of their session. I believe you should go home and see how you feel. Your body will tell you when to rebook.
What happens if i fall asleep during my session? Lots of people fall asleep, in fact its the best compliment ever, gentle snoring. I hope you find my treatment room to be a warm safe place for your session. Totally relaxing and de stressing is the aim, so falling over to sleep is normal. In fact I worry when someone spends the whole session unblinking looking at my ceiling.
Do I get undressed for my session? It depends For Reflexology you need simply remove socks and shoes. For aromatherapy, which ever body part is being massaged is undressd, underpants stay on. Indian Head Massage it is upper body that is worked on, so top off. Acupressure or Tui Na no clothes are removed. Reiki you stay fully clothed.
At all times to ensure your modesty and to keep you warm, you are covered with a towel and or blanket, at no time should you feel exposed or vulnerable, only the area being worked on will be uncovered and I will step out of the room each time you dress or undress.
How can i book? Hit the Book now button, it opens my live diary and shows all my availability. I am quite hard to get a hold of, mostly because my phone is closed when working with clients, so this is the best way to make sure you get the time slot that suits you.
Do you take card/ cash ? Yes you can pay in cash, cheque or with a gift voucher or with a card via the secure online diary booking system.
If you opted to 'Pay Later' when making your appointment and then decide you would like to pay with a card, no problem simply pay at the end of your session with my new card terminal.
